Today, our 1st graders were able to give back!! We had our field trip to the The Bridge Shelter in San Antonio.  They were so excited this morning.   
A lot of hard work and love went into this project.  The majority of what the parents and community saw was the students raising the money for two weeks and using those donations to purchase necessary items for the teenagers at the shelter. 
But this project started way back in September, on the 16th in fact, on what is known as International Dot Day.  This was a day where we learned how important we are and how we can make a difference, even if we are only in 1st grade :) We asked one question to get them thinking about making a difference.  The question was, "How can we make a difference?"
